The 10 steps
Every step runs in our own factory in Foshan. Two of them need your sign-off before we go on.

Design draft
Your approval needed
We turn your idea or logo into a colour design.
Send a sketch, logo or reference. Our designers lay out the front and back, size, colours and text, and send you a colour draft to review.
Production only continues after you sign off.

Vector artwork
Your approval needed
Production-ready line art with Pantone colours.
The approved draft is redrawn as vector artwork with recessed and raised areas, Pantone references and plating notes. Nothing is cut until you approve this file.

Die engraving
A steel die is cut from the approved artwork.
CNC and hand engraving cut the relief into a hardened steel die, or a mould for die-cast pieces.

Stamping or casting
Blanks are struck or die-cast.
Brass, copper, iron and stainless steel are struck under hydraulic presses; zinc alloy is die-cast for 3D shapes and cut-outs.

Pre-treatment
Trimming, polishing and cleaning.
Edges are trimmed and deburred, surfaces polished and cleaned so plating bonds evenly.

Electroplating
Gold, silver, bronze, nickel or antique finishes.
Pieces are plated on our own lines, then antiqued, brushed or sandblasted where the design calls for it.

Colouring
Soft enamel, hard enamel, printing or epoxy.
Colours are filled by hand to Pantone, cured in ovens, polished flat for hard enamel, or printed for gradients and photos.

Quality inspection
Every batch checked against the approved sample.
Inspectors check colour, plating, edges, attachments and counts against the approved artwork under our ISO 9001 system.

Packaging
Poly bags, gift boxes or custom packaging.
Each piece is bagged or boxed to your spec, with ribbons attached and cartons labelled for your distribution.

Shipping
DDP by air or sea, CIF or EXW.
We book freight and customs to your door with DDP, or ship CIF or EXW with your own forwarder.
How long it takes
Each stage starts when the one before it is approved. For large or complex orders we confirm the schedule in your quote.

What to send us for a quote
The more of this you include, the more accurate the first quote. Missing something? Send what you have and we will ask.
- Your design: logo, sketch or reference image (AI, PDF, PNG or JPG all work)
- Product type, for example medal, coin, pin, badge or keychain
- Size, and whether you need a front and back design

Ordering questions
How long does a custom medal order take?
Artwork time depends on how many revisions you need. After that you pay the deposit. Lead times start the day after we receive your deposit: the sample is ready in 7 days, and the finished goods in 14 days in total, sample included. The time you take to approve the sample is added. Shipping time depends on whether you choose air or sea.
What is the minimum order quantity?
The minimum order is 100 pieces per design.
How much is a sample?
The sample fee is based on your unit quote, so it depends on the size, material, craft and finish. We tell you the fee before making anything.
What are your payment terms?
50% deposit, 50% balance before shipment. The deposit starts the order and the balance is paid before the goods ship.
What does DDP mean?
Delivered Duty Paid. We arrange freight, customs clearance, import duties and taxes, and deliver to your address. You do not deal with customs.
Can I change the design after approving it?
Tell us as early as possible. Changes before the die is cut are simple. Once the die or mould has been made, a design change usually needs a new one, and we will tell you the cost before going ahead.
