Gumei Medals has made custom medals, badges and coins in Foshan, China since 2016. Every main step, from die engraving to packing, happens in our own plant.
Making medals in Foshan since 2016
Gumei was founded in 2016 to make custom metal medals. Today 200 people work across our 20,000 m² plant, which covers the steps that decide quality and lead time: die engraving, striking and die casting, electroplating, enamel colouring, printing and packing.
Keeping these steps under one roof means we control the schedule and can check each stage before work moves on. It is how we hold a 7 days sample time and a 14 days total lead time, sample included, counted from the day after your deposit.
We work directly with event organisers, organisations, brands and collectors around the world, and run OEM and ODM orders for trading companies who sell under their own name.

Die engraving / mould making
Steel dies and casting moulds are cut in-house from your approved vector artwork.
Stamping presses
Brass, copper, iron and stainless steel blanks are struck under hydraulic presses for crisp detail.
Die-casting machines
Zinc alloy is cast into moulds for 3D relief, cut-outs and complex shapes.
Electroplating lines
Gold, silver, copper, nickel and antique finishes are plated on our own lines.
Enamel colouring & epoxy dome
Soft and hard enamel colours are filled by hand to Pantone references; epoxy domes are added where needed.
Curing ovens
Enamel and epoxy are cured in ovens so colours set hard and stay in place.
Polishing & grinding
Edges are deburred and hard enamel is ground flat and polished to a smooth surface.
UV & offset printing
Gradients, photos and fine artwork are printed for printed badges, pins and medal centres.
Quality control
Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001. Checks are built into the process, so problems are caught at the stage where they happen rather than at the end.
Artwork
Your approval needed
You approve the colour draft and the vector artwork before any die is cut.
Sample
Your approval needed
A physical sample is made in 7 days and sent to you. Mass production starts after you approve it.
Striking and casting
Relief depth, edges and cut-outs are checked on the first pieces off the die or mould.
Plating
Colour and coverage of the plating are checked against the approved sample.
Colouring
Enamel colours are compared with the Pantone references and checked for even fill.
Final inspection
Colour, plating, edges, attachments and counts are checked against the approved sample.
Packing
Quantities per bag, box and carton are counted and cartons are labelled to your packing list.
